History of the Bronx Opera
Bronx Opera was founded in 1967 by Michael Spierman, the company's Artistic Director and principal Conductor.

Productions
Bronx Opera's productions are always sung in English with a full chorus and orchestra, featuring talented singers selected from an open competitive audition process.

Concert Halls
All productions are presented at Lehman College's Lovinger Theatre in the Bronx. This year, 2008, our January production will be performed at the Sylvia and Danny Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (Lexington Avenue at 68th Street in Manhattan). The May production is also given at the John Cranford Adams Playhouse of Hofstra University in Hempstead, Long Island.
